Wesley Kolenda

a man and a woman in a recording studio

Head producer and engineer, rapper, and singer of The Manickin

Falling in love with music at a young age, Wesley displays that love in everything he creates. Drawing on inspiration from indie and rap music and his Christian faith and spirituality, Wesley has released 2 solo projects delving into themes of belonging, addiction, and generational growth. Wesley enjoys creating ethereal and earthy soundscapes that allow him to tell sincere stories about his own life.

hothead (Harvey Dolan)

Rapper, Singer, and Producer for The Manickin

Oedi's music recommendations and Wesley's open studio brought Harvey, or hothead the bard, into the musical world in 2019. Inspired by the content of 90s political rap, the sound of modern rap, and his political education, hothead turns visionary lyrics into conceptual songs and albums. Coming off his first song release, hothead hopes to continue honing his trademark distorted and melodic sound.
